Sulu Province in ARMM is one of the most volatile regions in the ARMM Provinces. Frequent violent conflict erupts which makes it difficult to launch and maintain projects.  

ASDSW, in partnership with Local Governance Support Program for ARMM (LGSPA), built the capacity of a Community Service Organization and Municipal Water Task Force to conduct a WASH Inventory and Analysis (WIn/WASH) to develop a Municipal WASH Plan.  As a result of the workshops, the Sulu groups decided that the BioSand Filter Technology would be the most appropriate and timely technology to implement to launch their WASH Plan.
