What are PODS? People Offering Deliverable Services

What do they do? PODS have the capacity to plan, implement and manage WASH services in their communities thereby taking ownership of the project from start to finish. The PODS training program empowers communities to:

• map their resources and assess their community situation
• identify their specific need
• unite community members and create a common vision to resolve their issues
• design a 3-year WASH Action Plan to resolve their water issues in stages
• seek and implement the proper solution and technology
• form an independent income-generating organization using a micro-business or co-op model
• implement good governance policies and strategies to ensure transparency and accountability
